  • November 10 – Veterans Day Assembly 9:00am – 12:00pm
  • November 7th Native Pride Fashion Show 7:00pm (Auditorium)
  • November 15th Native Foods Tasting
  • TBA:  Round Dance at Bennett Hall- 6:00pm -12:00am
  • January 16th: Annual Rummage Sale at Clarke Cultural Center Lawn 8:00am
  • Friday, April 20:  Miss Sherman Pageant 6:00pm(Auditorium)
  • Saturday, April 21:  Annual Powwow held at the Ira Hayes Football Stadium 10:00am – 11:00pm
  • Friday, April 27 – Earth Day Celebration
  • May 3: Indian Flower Day, Clean up/Decorating Sherman Indian School Cemetery 3:45pm

 

Ongoing activities for students:

Talking circle, traditional teachings, Sacred Voices Speakers Series, arts/crafts workshops, community outreach and Inter-Tribal Dance Group performances.  Indigitize Film Making Project and Museum Digitization Projects are on-going.

  • Elders/Youth Talking Circle held at Clarke Culture Centeron the 2ndWednesday each month at 6:00pm. All other Talking Circles will be posted weekly.
  • Culture Arts and Crafts at Clarke Culture Center Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 4:00pm to 7:00pm.
  • Fancy Shawl Lessons are weekly at Bennett Hall on Mondays 5:00pm – 6:00pm.
  • Daughters of Traditions meet every other Thursday from 4:30pm to 7:30pm at San Manuel
  • Sons of Tradition groups meets on Wednesdays from4:30pm to 6:00pm at Clarke Culture Center.
  • Indigenous Language Center and Indigenous Fashion and Design open on weekdays after school.  
  • Cahuilla Language Class Tuesdays 6:00pm – 9:00pm
  • Kiowa Language Class Thursdays from 5:00pm to 6:00pm
  • Monthly Intertribal Elders Potluck: Second Saturday, 4:00pm:  at Bennett Memorial Hall.
  • Monthly Inland Empire Cherokee Community Meeting and Potluck: Third Saturday, 12:00pm at Bennett Memorial Hall.
